IT Infrastructure Engineer – Messaging in the Digital Workplace Productivity Team
What's the role?
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer – Messaging, who is eager and enthusiastic to support our journey in introducing innovative Digital Workplace solutions for Hilti across our Messaging and Messaging Security portfolio. You will architect, design, and implement advanced messaging solutions in collaboration with other Hilti cross-functional teams of IT infrastructure engineers, application experts, and local IT specialists to provide the needed functionalities for users and increase operational efficiencies. Hilti has always been at the cutting-edge of technology – we were the first customer in Switzerland to embrace Microsoft 365 in Y2012 and have all services rolled out globally with impressive user adoption!
This role is located at our strategic IT location in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

What does the role involve?
Your primary focus would be to assume full ownership of Hilti’s global messaging environment which includes Exchange Online, Exchange Hybrid Infrastructure and Messaging Hygiene platforms. You will be empowered to own and define the future roadmap for the above stated solutions and platforms with consideration to service security, architecture design, implementation, access management, monitoring and incident/problem management. You also get the opportunity to work with our truly global team of in-house IT experts, business counterparts from all over the world and external partners such as Microsoft, HP, VMware, Citrix, and others.

What you need is:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or in a related field of study with a minimum CGPA grade of 3.0.
- Demonstrated experience in architecture design, development, and management
- of complex implementations of Exchange Online and Exchange Hybrid infrastructures, together with messaging hygiene solutions.
- Strong understanding of modern authentication protocols and
- document protection, classification technologies.
- Ability to create custom and automation scripts leveraging PowerShell and VBScripts.
- Microsoft 365 certifications in Exchange Server Administration and other related areas would be preferred.
- Ability to understand business and security requirements and translate them into reliable and value-creating technical solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (verbally and written).
